He Has You In Mind

When God painted the sunrise and colored the sunset, He had you in mind. When God set the tempo for the ocean’s waves as they crash against shore, He had you in mind. When God designed the seasons to bring the warmth of summer’s light, the beauty of fall’s colors, the glow of snow’s pure white, and the hope of spring’s new life, He had you in mind. When God wrote into the fabric of creation the promise of new life, He had you in mind.

When God intricately formed human life, He knew a baby’s smile and a child’s laugh would warm your soul because, He had you in mind. When God purposed that life would flow from the ecstasy of intimate love, He had you in mind.

When God hid the laws of science in creation for you to discover, He had you in mind. When God composed the theory of music so you could create melodies, He had you in mind.

When God gave us food to taste He knew it would delight the senses because, He had you in mind. When God made the eye to see, the ear to hear, the tongue to taste, the body to feel and the soul to ascertain all these things, He did so because He had you in mind.

When God breathed life into Eve so that man could exist in community, He had you in mind. When God placed those people in your life whom you love more than life itself, He did so because He had you in mind.

Each and every gift is an expression of His love because each and every gift is a reminder that He has you in mind.

So we give thanks. Not because our unworthiness demands that we should. No, we give thanks because we have Him in mind.
